Grace Lim (b. 1964) works at the intersection of image and language. Her practice engages rupture, memory, and tension through abstraction, balancing movement and control in compositions that shift between stillness and motion. She also writes fiction and poetry, extending this inquiry into narrative form. Her work has been described as a calligraphic translation of the world, at once fluid, exact, and quietly dynamic. Lim studied Social Science in the United Kingdom before relocating to the United States. Selected solo exhibitions include Daegu Art and Cultural Center, South Korea (2018), and Ningbo People’s Art Center, China (2015), among others. She has participated in group exhibitions in France, Copenhagen, China, the United States, and Malaysia.
